These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Twin Cities PC Repair website and the products and services provided by Twin Cities PC Repair. By using this website, scheduling service, dropping off equipment, purchasing products or services, or authorizing repair work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Computer Repair & Service Authorization

By submitting a computer, device, component, or other equipment to Twin Cities PC Repair, you authorize us to inspect, diagnose, test, and perform the services you have approved.

Diagnostic work may require powering on the device, accessing the operating system, running diagnostic software, opening the device, removing components, or performing other procedures reasonably necessary to determine the cause of a problem.

Authorization for diagnostic services does not automatically constitute authorization for additional repairs unless otherwise agreed upon.

2. Diagnostics & Estimates

Diagnostics are typically completed within 2–5 business days after equipment is dropped off unless otherwise stated.

After diagnosis, Twin Cities PC Repair may provide an estimate or recommended course of action. Estimates are based on the information available at the time of diagnosis and may change if additional problems are discovered.

We will make reasonable efforts to obtain customer approval before performing work that materially exceeds an approved estimate.

Repair timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed. Parts availability, shipping delays, manufacturer issues, the condition of the equipment, and the complexity of a repair may affect completion time.

3. Customer Data & Backups

Customers are responsible for maintaining a current backup of all important data before submitting equipment for service whenever possible.

Computer repair, diagnostics, malware removal, operating system repairs, hardware failure, storage-device failure, software installation, upgrades, and other technical procedures can involve a risk of data loss.

Twin Cities PC Repair will take reasonable precautions when handling customer equipment and data but cannot guarantee that data will be preserved during diagnosis or repair.

Unless data backup or recovery is specifically included in the requested service, customers should not assume that their files have been backed up.

4. Data Recovery

Data recovery is inherently unpredictable. Twin Cities PC Repair does not guarantee that any particular file, folder, drive, or amount of data can be successfully recovered.

Storage devices may deteriorate further during normal diagnostic or recovery attempts, particularly when a hard drive, SSD, flash drive, or other storage device has already begun to fail.

Customers acknowledge these risks when authorizing data recovery services.

5. Passwords & Device Access

Some services may require access to a Windows account, macOS account, BIOS/UEFI, encryption key, or other password-protected portion of a device.

Customers are responsible for providing the access information reasonably necessary to perform authorized services.

Twin Cities PC Repair will only access files, accounts, or information as reasonably necessary to diagnose the reported problem, complete authorized work, test the repair, transfer data, or provide another requested service.

6. Malware, Viruses & Security Services

Virus and malware removal reduces known threats found during service but cannot guarantee that a computer will remain free from future infections, scams, malicious websites, compromised accounts, ransomware, or other cybersecurity threats.

No antivirus or security product provides absolute protection.

Customers remain responsible for maintaining appropriate passwords, backups, software updates, security practices, and account protection.

7. Hardware Repairs & Upgrades

Hardware upgrades and replacement components are subject to compatibility and availability.

In some cases, an underlying problem may not become apparent until another failed component has been repaired or replaced. Twin Cities PC Repair will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer if additional repairs become necessary.

Used, aging, damaged, or previously repaired equipment may also experience unrelated failures before, during, or after service.

8. Replacement Parts

Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, recertified, or otherwise specified at the time of sale or repair.

Parts availability and pricing may change without notice. Special-order parts may be subject to additional terms, deposits, restocking restrictions, or return limitations.

Manufacturer warranties, when applicable, are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer's terms.

9. New, Refurbished & Custom Computers

Specifications, availability, pricing, and included components for computers offered for sale may change based on inventory and supplier availability.

Custom-built computers may contain individually warrantied components from multiple manufacturers. Manufacturer warranty terms may vary by component.

Certified refurbished computers may contain previously used components and may show minor cosmetic signs of prior use unless otherwise stated.

10. Remote Support

By requesting remote support, you authorize Twin Cities PC Repair to remotely access the applicable computer for the purpose of providing the requested technical services.

You may be required to install or run remote-access software and provide permission before a remote session begins.

Customers should remain available during remote sessions when requested. Remote support availability depends on the computer having a functioning internet connection and being capable of running the required remote-support software.

11. Prepaid Support Hours

Prepaid residential support hours are subject to the terms of the specific plan purchased.

Eligible prepaid hours may be used only for qualifying in-shop labor and remote support unless otherwise expressly stated.

Prepaid hours have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash. They may not be used toward parts, hardware, computers, third-party services, taxes, shipping, or other excluded charges unless specifically stated.

Additional plan-specific conditions presented at the time of purchase also apply.

12. Priority & Rush Services

Priority or expedited service may be available for an additional charge.

Priority service means the job receives expedited handling relative to standard service requests. It does not guarantee that a repair will be completed by a specific date or time, particularly when parts, third-party services, extensive diagnostics, or circumstances outside our control are involved.

13. Payment

Payment is due according to the terms provided on the applicable invoice, estimate, work order, or sales transaction.

Twin Cities PC Repair may require deposits or advance payment for special-order parts, custom computers, large purchases, or other services.

Equipment and products may be held until all amounts due have been paid.

Customers paying in person should make payment arrangements directly with Twin Cities PC Repair. Office secretaries do not accept customer payments.

14. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Customers who cannot attend a scheduled appointment should contact Twin Cities PC Repair as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.

Please do not create an additional appointment when rescheduling an existing service request, as doing so may create duplicate service tickets.

Repeated missed appointments may affect future scheduling availability.

15. Equipment Pickup & Abandoned Property

Customers will be notified when equipment is ready for pickup or when additional authorization is required.

Customers are responsible for responding to communications and retrieving their equipment within a reasonable period.

Equipment left for an extended period may be subject to storage charges or may be considered abandoned to the extent permitted by applicable Minnesota law. Any disposition of abandoned property will be handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

16. Warranty & Service Limitations

Twin Cities PC Repair stands behind the services it performs, subject to the terms applicable to the particular repair or purchase.

A service warranty does not cover new or unrelated problems, subsequent malware infections, accidental damage, liquid damage occurring after service, misuse, customer modifications, third-party repairs, software changes, manufacturer defects, or failures of components that were not replaced or repaired by Twin Cities PC Repair.

Any applicable warranty details provided on an invoice, receipt, product listing, or service agreement are incorporated into these Terms.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Twin Cities PC Repair is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from equipment failure, loss of use, software failure, loss of data, lost productivity, or interruption of internet or other third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

18. Third-Party Products & Services

Twin Cities PC Repair may recommend, install, configure, sell, or provide assistance with products and services supplied by third parties.

Third-party products and services are governed by their respective providers' licenses, warranties, privacy policies, subscriptions, and terms of service.

Twin Cities PC Repair does not control and is not responsible for changes, outages, pricing, discontinuation, or policies imposed by third-party providers.

19. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and current. However, pricing, availability, specifications, promotions, service descriptions, turnaround times, and other information may change.

20. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Twin Cities PC Repair name, branding, website content, graphics, photographs, written material, and other original content on this website may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used commercially without permission.

21. Privacy

Information submitted through our website, service forms, scheduling systems, or other communications is handled in accordance with our applicable Privacy Policy.

Customers should avoid submitting passwords, financial information, or other sensitive information through ordinary email unless specifically requested through an appropriate method.

22. Changes to These Terms

Twin Cities PC Repair may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements.

The current version will be posted on this website with the date of the most recent update.

23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
