How long will my repair/service take?

We repair most faults within 1-3 days, we also offer a 24 hour priority service (subject to availability of parts if needed). If we need to order parts, we can normally get them next business day delivery. We realize how difficult being without your computer can be and we will always try to get it back to you as quickly as possible.

How much will my repair cost me?

It’s always difficult to estimate a repair price prior to looking at the problem.  In most cases, we ask you to pay a very affordable $60 diagnostic fee. We will look at the issue at hand and provide you with a repair estimate. This diagnostic fee will be waived in you approve our repair estimate.  We will always do our best to offer you a fixed price for the repair, for example, if your laptop screen needs replacing we will give you a total price for parts & labor before starting. We don’t want you to have any nasty surprises; we want you to know exactly what your repair will cost before we complete the work.

Why would I want to use you when I could go to a big brand high traffic store such as Geek Squad?

We tend to believe you’re just a number at the big box stores. Big box store employees are often commission based and must meet add-on sales quotas, which means that they might try to sell you something you don’t actually need. The other proven tactic of the big box stores are targeted sales of certain vendor products which offer their employees incentives or kickbacks.

Offering personal service is our top priority; you will speak directly to the person working on your computer so you can explain the situation in detail.  We won’t sell you any unneeded equipment. We turnaround repairs quickly, we don’t send anything away to service centers and we don’t quote 5+ days for repairs.  We operate from total honesty.  In the case where there is no option but to replace a part or a PC, we believe in the products we sell because of extensive research, demo testing, and a proven positive user experience from our clients and our own internal use out in the field.

Can you replace cracked/damaged laptop screens?

Absolutely, we repair laptop screens all the time and it’s much cheaper than buying a new laptop. Contact Us for a quick quote, we can order the majority of laptop screens quickly and can normally replace your screen within a few days!  If you can’t live without your laptop, we’ll set you up with one of our complimentary loaner laptops to use while yours is in the shop.  We can even move important files to a thumb drive so you can access them on another PC while yours is being repaired.  The sky’s the limit with our constant efforts in making your service experience pleasurable and convenient!

I’m worried about my data, is it safe?

We will always take great care in looking after your data. We conform to the Data Protection Act and any data we hold is held in strict confidence. We undertake work for a large number of local businesses and residential clients and understand how important personal data is. Any customer data that is stored is always stored password protected and in encrypted format. We always recommend that you take a backup of any data on your computer prior to any work being performed and we can discuss any backup options with you if needed.  If you’d like us to backup your data prior to working on your device, we’re happy to do so at our hourly billable labor rate.
